Refnets are copper pipe fittings that distribute refrigerant liquid flow from the main inlet to auxiliary outlets.
Refnets fittings come in different sizes and shapes to accommodate designed flow rates for each branch. The table below shows examples of various refnet fittings. Note that many have multiple diameters the installer needs to cut off to accommodate specified inlet/outlet ratios.

Refnet installation is critical. For proper operation, all branches of the refnet fittings should be on the same level to maintain correct refrigerant distribution. It is recommended to keep the angle of the refnet branches within 15 degrees of the floor plane for outdoor unit piping and 30 degrees for indoor piping.

TUFFLOK offers alternative refnet components that are manufactured to accommodate any design requirements.
We can accommodate parallel, 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees dual port, and multiport connections.

The TUFFLOK refnet fixtures are available in sizes from 3/8″ to 3/4″. They are continuous diameter refnets supplied with TUFLOK pass-through or reducing couplers to accommodate specified pipe requirements.
